These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the curl2code.com website and its services. By accessing or using curl2code, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Please also review our Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using curl2code, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Description of Service
curl2code is a free, open-source web tool that converts curl commands into code in various programming languages. Core conversions are performed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology — no data is sent to our servers for basic conversions. Additional features include shareable code links, an AI-powered code explainer, and a reverse converter (code to curl), which require server communication as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI Features (Bring Your Own Key)
curl2code offers optional AI-powered features that require you to provide your own API key from a supported provider (OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI). By using these features, you acknowledge that: you are solely responsible for your API key and any associated costs; the content you submit (curl commands, code snippets) will be sent to your chosen AI provider through our proxy server; you must comply with the terms of service of your chosen AI provider; and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.
Share Links
When you create a share link, your curl command and generated code are stored on our servers and become publicly accessible to anyone with the URL. You are responsible for ensuring that shared content does not contain sensitive information (passwords, API keys, private data). We reserve the right to remove share links that violate these Terms. Share links may expire and we do not guarantee their permanent availability.
User Responsibilities
You agree to: use curl2code only for lawful purposes; not attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the service; not use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the service beyond reasonable use; keep your own API keys secure and not share them through our platform; and not use the service to process, store, or share content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Intellectual Property
The curl-to-code conversion engine is powered by curlconverter, which is licensed under the MIT License. Code generated by curl2code from your curl commands belongs to you — we make no intellectual property claims over the output. The curl2code user interface, design, branding, and original content are the property of curl2code and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
curl2code is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that: the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; the code conversions will be accurate or complete; AI-generated explanations or reverse conversions will be correct; or the service will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, curl2code and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from: inaccurate code conversions or AI-generated content; unavailability of the service or share links; unauthorized access to your API keys due to your own actions; and reliance on any content provided by the service.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of curl2code after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
